初中英语《The weathers》教学设计
I Teaching Aims:
Knowledge aims:
1. Students can understand and master the new sentence patterns “What’s the weather like in winter” “It’s snowy in winter”.
2. Students will express their ideas with correct pronunciation and intonation naturally and fluently.
Ability aims:
1. Students will be able to get the main information of the dialogue.
2. According to the context and sentences, students can require and answer the weather in English.
Emotional aims:
1. Students would like to join in some activities to improve their speaking ability.
2. During the class, students will have more confidence to communicate with others.
II Teaching Key & Difficult Points:
Key points:
1. Master the usage of two sentence structures.
2. Students can get the main idea of the listening material and improve their speaking ability.
Difficult Points:
1. Students can use the key words and structures to communicate with others in their daily life.
2. Students can improve the confidence of learning English, and not afraid of speaking English.
III Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warming up and lead-in
I will let them talk about what kind of weather condition they like and the reason why they like such weather. Meanwhile, I will lead them to review the words about weather.
Step 2 Pre-listening
Show them a map of weather report as follows and I will play the role of an audience and students play the weather reporters. I will ask and they should report the weather. I will lead them to get familiar with the following sentence patterns:
— What’s the weather like in ... in summer?
— It is ...in...in winter.
Step 3 While-listening
1. Ask them to listen to the passage on the textbook for the first time and then tell me what they have heard.
2. I will play the tape for the second time and ask them to pay more attention to the sentence how do they enquire weather and how do they answer. The sentences are as follows:
— What’s the weather like in America in winter, Betty?
— It’s snowy in New York in winter.
3. Let students listen to the tape for the third time and answer the following questions:
