人教版高中必修3 Unit 1 Festivals around the world — Learning about Language — Discovering useful words and expressions

请根据以下教学内容设计一节词汇课的教案。

Teaching Aims

Knowledge aims:

1. Students will understand the meanings, usage and pronunciation of the new words and expressions, such as celebration, origin, religious, as though..., have fun with..., etc.

2. Students can find and memorize more words by adopting the suffix rule of -ous or -al ending and -(a)tion ending.

Ability aims:

1. According to the passage, students can guess the meaning and part-of-speech of new words and phrases.

2. Students can make some sentences with the new words and phrases they learned and talk about the festivals freely and easily with their friends and family members.

Emotional aims:

1. Students will be more confident when speaking in public and expressing their ideas.

2. Students are able to work with their classmates and practice their cooperative learning abilities.

3 Through the activities designed, students will foster their awareness of appreciating the festivals around the world and love our Chinese traditional festivals and culture.

Key points

1. To understand the meanings, usage and pronunciation of the new words and expressions.
